How do I apply for a merchant account or credit card processing services?

Just fill out the one page application form on the Apply Now page to get started. A MersaTech representative will contact you within one business day to review the information submitted in your application and answer any questions you may have.

Do I need to open a new bank account to accept credit cards with a merchant account?

No. As long as you are currently banking with a financial institution within the U.S., you can utilize your existing account for your merchant account. All of the funds from credit card processing transactions will be deposited to the bank account you select.

How much does it cost to accept credit cards?

With MersaTech the cost to apply is $0. We have several representatives that can meet with you on a individual basis to go over a complete cost of accepting credit cards. We have serveral different programs and our sales representatives can customize a program that fits perfectly with you and the needs of your business.

When can I expect my funds to be deposited into my bank account?

In most cases, funds will post and be available to you within 24-48 hours.

Do I need a federal tax ID #?

Yes, unless your business is classified as a sole proprietorship then you can use your social security number.

Can I get a terminal to work off high speed internet?

Absolutely. We have the most current processing equipment and several of our terminals can run off high speed internet. Just let your sales representative know you are interested in this feature.

What if my credit is less than perfect?

We have several programs and banks available to submit your application to, so even if you have credit issues we are more than likely to still get you approved.

How do I take credit cards if I am a home based business?

We offer terminals that are wireless that you can take to job sites and will work in areas that have cellular service. We have ways for you to take credit cards through your phone line (mobile, home or business phone) or key into a landline terminal. We also offer ways to process credit cards through the internet.

What types of businesses do you accept?

We accept all types of businesses; retail, moto (mail order or telephone order) and internet based businesses are all welcome. We accept new businesses that have never taken credit cards and businesses that have been around for years that are looking for better rates or customer service.

What credit cards can I accept?

We can set your business up to take Visa, MasterCard and Discover. This includes all credit and debit cards. We can also apply for American Express while setting you up or add an exisitng American Express number you may already have. There is not an additional fee to apply for American Express.

How often will I receive a statement?

You will automatically receive a paper statement each month in the mail. The statement will show you your sales volumes, charges and other important information about your account. If you have an American Express number you will also receive a separate statement from them each month as well.

What kind of customer service is available to me and my business?

We have 24 hour, 7 days a week customer service and technical support available to you and your business. We also have a corporate staff and sales representatives available Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm MST to help you out with any needs you may have. Our main number is 303-268-5505 or 866-777-7409.
